Summary:
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) company.
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for coordinating and managing the shipment and receipt of goods, while effectively communicating with carriers, drivers, shippers, and the warehouse manager.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Communicate and coordinate with carriers, drivers, shippers, and the warehouse manager to prioritize tasks and ensure timely shipment and receipt of goods.
Ensure warehouse accurately records and document received items, including their quantity, condition, and any discrepancies.
Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and other necessary documentation for outgoing shipments.
Coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, ensuring that shipments are dispatched in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the warehouse manager to ensure efficient storage and organization of goods in the warehouse.
Assist in resolving any shipping or receiving-related issues, such as damaged items, incorrect shipments, or delivery delays.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that it is compliant with safety regulationUtilize computer systems or software to track shipments, update records, and generate reports as needed.
Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Preferred bi-lingual SpanishPrevious experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is preferredStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with carriers, drivers, shippers, and the warehouse manager.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording and documenting information.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping and inventory management software.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Salary:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $39,000 to $54,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
